Rumors are swirling that Eva Longoria has a new admirer and it's none other than Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Both served as co-chairs to Obama's re-election campaign.

According to Star magazine, the two were seen getting cozy in California.

“[They were] holding hands and sneaking into a late-night showing of Lincoln in L.A.,” a source supposedly told the magazine.

“They were trying to go unnoticed, but it seemed pretty clear they were on a date.”
Another alleged insider tells Star that Longoria and Villaraigosa have been “flirting for a while.”

"Everything heated up when they worked to help get President Obama reelected,” the insider said.  “He started to insist that they go to events around the country together.”

The report, however, was debunked Longoria's camp, which denied the two are an item.

“This is not true," the rep said. "Eva is not dating Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.”

Recently the “Desperate Housewives” actress split from NY Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez. Villaraigosa also split recently from his longtime girlfriend, Lu Parker.

"I can confirm that Lu Parker ended her three-year committed relationship with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as of May 25," Juliette Harris, owner of It Girl Public Relations, told the L.A. Times.

Harris did not give any specifics as to why Villaraigosa, a Mexican-American, and Parker split. They dated for three years.
