Rihanna takes fans behind the scenes of 'Battleship'

Singer Rihanna plays a weapons officer in her debut role in "Battleship," and got a little help from a real-life Navy officer.

Rihanna recently spilled some behind the scene details on production of the blockbuster film.

“My character, her name is Raikes. She’s a weapons officer, she’s not afraid of anything," she said, "She loves weapons, she knows them – not only her weapons, but every other weapon on the ship.”

RiRi stars alongside "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard and model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker.

The IMDB description for the action sci-fi reads: “A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals.”

Indeed.
