A curtain in Courtney Love's New York townhouse went up in flames early Thursday, prompting her to scramble to put it out while suffering a minor burn to her hand, fire department sources said, according to the New York Post.

Firefighters were called to Love's four-story brick building in Manhattan's West Village at 1:52am local time, sources said.

The small blaze was brought under control after about an hour.

The 46-year-old Love, who was once married to deceased Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, did not need to go to a hospital for her injuries.

Fire officials are now investigating the cause of the fire.
