Christina Aguilera was tapped to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl; the whole world was watching; and she pulled it off, with one small hitch.

Christina's fumble happened right after the twilights last gleaming and the perilous fight. The line that follows is: "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming."

Instead she made up a line, a creative combination that included a previous line with a bit of Christina improv : "What so proudly we watched at the twilights last gleaming."

Then she recovered to bring it home in style. She sang beautifully but it was no 1991 Whitney Houston Super Bowl moment (video below).

The fact remains, in the biggest game in the universe one would think memorizing the lines was up there on the priorities list.

But, give her credit, she actually sang and didn't lip-sync.

No word out of the Christina camp. She does not have an official Twitter page, and after some of last nights comments on the social networking site, that is probably for the best.
