The diamond atop Kim Kardashian's (latest) engagement ring clocks in at a whopping 15 carats, but it was designed to look like it's weightless, says a representative for Lorraine Schwartz.

"Kanye was involved [with the design] in every single way," this spokesperson also told E! Online. "He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best," she added.

"He and Lorraine emailed back and forth, and stayed up nights discussing how he wanted it to be. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."

But what probably wasn't Kanye's idea was giving Kim a slightly smaller engagement ring than her last fiance. While the type-2A cushion-cut diamond he chose was described as "flawless" by E!'s source, Radar Online reports that his 15-carat stone is just shy (in size) of the 16.2-carat rock Kris Humphries gave Kim back in May 2011.

We're pretty sure she doesn't mind, though.

But what about you? We know Kim's Instagram pic (above) is a bit blurry, but what do you think of her engagement ring?
