Here's what all the buzz is about:
• On Sunday, "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi shared a stunning bikini photo from her vacation to Majorda Beach in Goa, India, where for the last week, she's been enjoying the sun, the sights, the surf, and taking a break from shaming up-and-coming chefs by telling them how underspiced their spaghetti carbonara is.
• Speaking of spaghetti carbonara, Italian chef and restaurateur Lidia Bastianich recently gave us a master class in cooking that very dish. Watch the video below to learn her secrets for yourself (or ), then try coming back here and telling us it's underspiced in the slightest. We dare you.
• 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for "Independence Day: Resurgence," the sequel to the 1996 alien-invasion film "Independence Day." In it, the alien race we originally defeated with a computer virus is back with bigger ships, more advanced weaponry, and hopefully (for their sake) an updated version of Norton Antivirus or something:
• Despite their past disagreements over artist royalties, Apple Music announced on Sunday that they've partnered with Taylor Swift to exclusively distribute a live concert video from Taylor's "1989" world tour. So it would seem Swift has finally forgiven Apple for their earlier policies, and all it took was the promise of lots and lots of sweet, sweet cash.
• "Telanovela" actress Eva Longoria got engaged to media mogul Jose Antonio Baston on Sunday, announcing the news via Instagram (below). It looks like Baston went to a lot of trouble, too, setting up a romantic little oasis in the middle of the Dubai desert to propose, and then, presumably, vacuuming up all of that pesky sand from his beautiful Persian rugs:
• The full-back phoenix tattoo that Ben Affleck was recently spotted sporting is reportedly real, and not just a fake for his film, as was previously thought. We couldn't obtain any photos, but rest assured: It's very large, very colorful, and could be reasonably described as "bitchin'" by your hometown buddy Zeke.
• As part of his latest work of performance art, Shia LaBeouf has been sitting in a London gallery for the past four days taking telephone calls from anyone who wants to talk. His art collective is calling the project "TOUCHMYSOUL," which might be a play on AT&T's "Reach Out and Touch Someone" ad campaign from 1987, although it's probably nowhere near as creepy:
• According to sources for TMZ, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are done having children because they're wary of Kim's recent pregnancy complications (she underwent a painful procedure to reverse Saint's breech position last month, and also reportedly suffered accreta earlier in the year). So there goes any chance we had of seeing an "Easton West."
• And finally, 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" (below), which, by our count, is the 847th entry in the X-Men film franchise. But as the clip below clearly proves, the franchise isn't running the least bit low on bizarre blue freaks:
