Ethan Hawke may have been nominated for two Oscars in the past (Best Actor in "Training Day," Best Screenplay for "Before Sunset"), but apparently, he doesn't give the awards much weight. Speaking with Gotham magazine, Hawke chastised awards ceremonies for turning filmmaking into a competition.
