Because sometimes it really is all about you, Polaris has introduced its first single-seat sport UTV, the Sportsman Ace.
Featuring the same step-in, bucket seat style as the company’s “side-by-side” models, the Ace is only as wide as a typical ATV and offers a best-of-both worlds option for the solo off-road adventurer.
Powered by a 32 hp single-cylinder engine, it’s fitted with an automatic transmission and on-demand four-wheel-drive good for a governed top speed of 45 mph.
A fully independent suspension provides 8.2 inches of wheel travel up front and 9.5 inches in the rear. It has a tow rating of 1,500 pounds and its dual cargo racks can carry a total of 360 pounds.
Adjustable seat and steering wheel? Check and check. There’s even a cupholder.
The Ace is in showrooms now, and while it's hard to say how its starting price of $7,499 matches up, since there’s really nothing else in the market like it, that’s a lot cheaper than most high performance two-seat UTVs.
Sometimes going it alone has its advantages.
