The Dubai Police have unveiled their latest high performance, high dollar patrol car: the Ferrari FF. The $550,000 two-door hatchback featuring seating for four, all-wheel-drive, a 651 hp V12 and a top speed of 208 mph.

The prancing police horse joins the even more fabulous, but far less functional Lamborghini Aventador and the Chevrolet Camaro in the Emirate’s law enforcement motor pool.

Dubai has been trying to spiffy up its police vehicles to bring them better in line with the over the top extravagance the Persian Gulf locale is famous for. World’s tallest building, man-made islands and all that.

Until someone decides to bring the Bugatti Veyron police car from the Grand Theft Auto IV video game to life, its current crop of cars should do -- but a McLaren P1 would sure look good painted green and white.
