MEDAN, Indonesia -- The parents of an Indonesian migrant worker who died in Malaysia say officials have flown the wrong body back home.

Friends of Simon Petrus Sitepu called his mother and father to say the 22-year-old died after being hit by heavy machinery while working at a palm oil plantation in Malaysia's northern Kedah state.

The parents went to the airport Tuesday to collect what they thought was his body, but broke down in tears when they saw it. His father, Bener Sitepu, said it appeared to be that of a 40-year-old man of Indian descent.

Officials at Malaysia's consulate in the Indonesian city of Medan acknowledged there was a mix-up.

The parents said officials told them they are now searching for their son's body.
