Thailand's national police chief says the suspects in a weekend grenade attack at a Bangkok courthouse are connected to those behind a bombing at an upscale shopping mall in the capital.
Saturday's attack at the Criminal Court, in which no one was hurt, came five weeks after small bombs rattled shoppers at Siam Paragon mall.
National police chief Gen. Somyot Pumpanmuang said Monday that an initial investigation found that perpetrators of both attacks were from the same network.
Police said soldiers apprehended two men on a motorcycle who allegedly hurled a grenade into the court's compound Saturday night.
Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said intelligence led to the quick arrests of the men. He said authorities were investigating the links between the masterminds and political groups.
