GENEVA – Swiss authorities have launched a criminal investigation against Ukraine's fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych and his son Aleksander.
Geneva prosecutors said in a statement Friday that the focus of the probe is "aggravated money laundering."
Prosecutors say police and Geneva's chief prosecutor Yves Bertossa conducted a search and seized documents Thursday at the premises of a company owned by Aleksander Yanukovych.
The authorities provided no further details.
