The South African president's spokesman says three of the president's children and their cousin have been in a car accident.
Spokesman Mac Maharaj said Friday that President Jacob Zuma's children were all in a stable condition and were being treated for various injuries at a hospital in the city of Pietermaritzburg, in the eastern KwaZulu Natal province.
Maharaj said in a statement that the accident happened on Friday morning. No further details were given.
The president's office wished Zuma's children and their cousin a speedy recovery.
