Yemeni security officials say Saudi-led airstrikes have targeted Shiite rebels across the country and struck a weapons depot in the capital, rocking nearby residential areas.
The officials say Monday's airstrikes in Sanaa hit Fag Atan mountain, where at least 38 people were killed when similar air raids last week flattened nearby homes, burying residents under the rubble. Officials have said the depot was used for storing ballistic missiles.
Saudi-led warplanes also carried out raids in the northern city of Saada, the western city of Taiz and the southern city of Aden, targeting Shiite rebels known as Houthis and allied forces loyal to ousted leader Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press.
