Russia says Ukraine's opposition failed to meet conditions of peace deal, urges West to act

Russia's foreign minister says that Ukraine's opposition has failed to fulfill its side of a peace deal intended to end the nation's political crisis.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Saturday called his German, French and Polish counterparts, who helped broker Friday's agreement between Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the opposition.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Lavrov urged his counterparts to use their influence with the Ukrainian opposition to stop what he described as rampages by its supporters.
