A Chinese news agency says 14 people were killed in a stampede at a mosque in the country's north.
The Xinhua News Agency said Monday that 10 other people were injured in the incident in Guyuan, a city in the Ningxia region.
It said the stamped occurred Sunday afternoon during the process of handing out traditional food during an event to commemorate a religious figure.
