SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Puerto Rico police have seized 209 pounds (95 kilograms) of cocaine found on an abandoned boat near the popular tourist island of Culebra.
Authorities said Friday that the drugs were found in four suitcases aboard a 17-foot (5-meter) Boston Whaler.
Police said the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is taking over the investigation.
The announcement comes amid an increase of drug seizures in the U.S. territory.
