Police say they have arrested four suspected militants on Indonesia's Sumatra island who are accused of robbing a bank to fund terrorist activities.

Police spokesman Lt. Col. Sulistyaningsih says that two suspects were arrested late Thursday in Panjang subdistrict of Lampung province.Another man was caught early Friday in the province's Sukoharjo Pringsewu Tanggamus village. A fourth suspect was netted hours later in the neighboring village of Karang Anjar.

Sulistyaningsih says the arrests were conducted quickly and without resistance from the suspects.

Earlier this week, the country's elite anti-terror squad conducted several raids on suspected Islamic militants in several places on Java island. Seven suspects were killed and 13 others arrested.
