Guatemalan prosecutors have arrested three judges on suspicion of corruption and other crimes.
The spokeswoman for the federal prosecutors' office says the judges were arrested at their homes Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Julia Barreda says an appeals court judge is accused of taking a $1.3 million bribe for favoring a company.
Another judge allegedly took money from lawyers in exchange for releasing defendants in a customs tax scandal that led to the resignation of President Otto Perez Molina.
The third judge is accused of money laundering and other crimes.
Also Tuesday, a judge placed a lien on a ranch owned by Perez Molina. The former president is jailed and faces charges related to the customs fraud scandal in which businesses allegedly paid kickbacks to government officials in exchange for lower import duties.
