Israeli officials say a Greek plane has landed safely in Tel Aviv without anyone being hurt after issuing a mayday call to Israel's Ben Gurion international airport.
Airport spokesman Ofer Lefler says the plane had apparently suffered a hydraulic problem before making the emergency landing Thursday around noon.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld says all 170 passengers and crew are safe and well.
It was not immediate clear if the plane's original destination was Israel or if it landed there because of the emrgency.
Mayday signals are rare and security-conscious Israel went on high alert around the airport after Thursday's call.
Israeli media reported that the emergency call prompted large numbers of ambulances and rescue teams to rush to the airport and hospitals were on standby.
