A former South Korean prime minister will be sent to prison after the country's top court upheld her bribery conviction.
The Supreme Court said it rejected the appeal by Han Myung-sook, who was sentenced to two years in prison for taking kickbacks from a businessman at a 2013 ruling by the Seoul High Court.
Han has avoided jail since 2013 while he appealed the prison sentence.
Supreme Court officials say their ruling is final and Han cannot appeal again.
Han served as South Korea's first female prime minister in 2006 and 2007 under late former President Roh Moo-hyun.
The prime minister is largely a ceremonial job in South Korea, where power is concentrated in the presidency.
