A lawyer for one of five men on trial at Guantanamo in the Sept. 11 case says the FBI questioned a member of his defense team.

Attorney James Harrington did not disclose the reason FBI agents questioned a team member who assists with the handling of classified evidence.

Harrington disclosed the FBI questioning Monday at the start of what was supposed to be a hearing into whether defendant Ramzi Binalshibh is mentally competent to stand trial.

The judge adjourned the hearing until Tuesday while officials explore the legal implications of the investigation.

Prosecutors earlier were seeking to determine how writings by lead defendant Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were obtained in January by a British TV station and The Huffington Post.

The FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
