Cuban Plane Crash Kills 68

Cuba was hit by its worst air disaster in more than 20 years when a state airliner crashed Thursday and burst into flames in a mountainous area -- killing all 40 Cubans and 28 foreigners aboard. The flight was traveling from Santiago de Cuba to the capital when it reported an emergency and lost contact with air traffic controllers. It was one of the last flights leaving for Havana ahead of a possible hit by Tropical Storm Tomas.
