BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Argentina's president is criticizing a court ruling against the law she's been using against what she calls the monopoly power of her leading media opponent, Grupo Clarin.
President Cristina Fernandez said Thursday that she's "never seen anything like it."
A federal court upheld her media reform law, but declared unconstitutional its limits on how many broadcast stations and cable networks a company can own.
Clarin cheered, but Fernandez plans to take the case to the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Argentina's congress is rushing to approve judiciary changes to make it much harder to win injunctions.
Opponents say Fernandez wants to pack Argentina's courts with her supporters. The president says the media law case reveals a "kind of ghetto" in the courts that refuses to change.
