Police have arrested a woman after at least three dogs attacked a 65-year-old Las Vegas woman last week, leaving her critically wounded and in danger of losing her arm and eye.

Las Vegas police said Monday that Jesse Vonstaden has been arrested on suspicion of having dangerous or vicious dogs. She was also booked on charges of willful disregard for the safety of people.

There was no listed phone number for Vonstaden, and it's not clear if she has an attorney yet.

Police say mixed-breed pit bulls mauled the woman last Friday outside her home in northeast Las Vegas. Police say the dogs squeezed through the fence of a nearby resident who wasn't at home.

Officers fatally shot one of the dogs to end the attack.
