Chesterfield County Police say a 41-year-old man accused of shooting at the opposing attorney in his child custody case faces attempted murder and other charges.
Mark M. Low also is charged with abduction, use of a firearm in a felony and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He is being held at the county jail without bond pending a hearing Friday in General District Court.
Chesterfield Police Capt. David Pritchard said the man shot at the attorney Thursday afternoon at the entrance of the law office across from the county courthouse. The shot missed the attorney and hit the building. The attorney and a bystander received minor injuries as they tried to flee.
Pritchard said the suspect and the attorney had been in court earlier Thursday for a hearing.
