The Latest on the escape of two New Mexico inmates who fled from a prison van (all times local):
10:20 a.m.
A spokesman says Gov. Susana Martinez is closely following the search for two New Mexico inmates who fled from a prison van.
Martinez has been in Las Vegas for the NCAA basketball tournament since Thursday. Spokesman Mike Lonergan says she takes the escape of Joseph Cruz and Lionel Clah "very seriously and has directed the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety to work together to capture the fugitives."
Cruz has been serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, while Clah was convicted of armed robbery and other crimes.
Authorities say they were last accounted for around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Roswell area. Corrections officers didn't realize they were missing until 1 a.m. Thursday.
Lonergan says Martinez was notified of their escape around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
