Authorities say a California Highway Patrol officer has been stabbed multiple times in San Francisco but is expected to survive.
CHP Chief Ernie Sanchez tells the San Francisco Chronicle (http://tinyurl.com/j8yyojd ) that the officer was stabbed in the neck and arm Tuesday morning. San Francisco police say a suspect was arrested in a bank that's just over a mile from the city's Super Bowl festivities and a few blocks from the attack.
Police say the officer was stabbed near an on-ramp to the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge and taken to a hospital. It wasn't immediately clear what led to the stabbing.
The identities of the officer and suspect weren't released.

A California Highway Patrol officer was stabbed in San Francisco a few blocks south of downtown.
San Francisco Police say the officer was stabbed at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday near an on-ramp to the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge. What sparked the stabbing was not immediately known.
Police say a suspect was arrested. His name and age were not released.
Police didn't release the identity or condition of the injured officer.
