A house painter has pleaded not guilty to an attempted murder charge in the shooting of a San Diego television sportscaster a week ago.
Mike Montana was arraigned Tuesday in San Diego Superior Court.
Prosecutors say he opened fire and wounded Kyle Kraska outside the KFMB-TV anchor's home in the suburban style neighborhood of Scripps Ranch.
Montana was also charged with making a threat against another individual.
Police say Montana was in a dispute with Kraska over work done on the reporter's home. Authorities say Montana fired multiple shots through Kraska's silver Mercedes.
Montana surrendered to authorities after a SWAT standoff at his home in El Cajon.
The judge has set bail at $750,000.
The CBS affiliate says Kraska is making good progress in his recovery at a local hospital.
