A judge has ruled there is sufficient evidence to send a Salt Lake City pediatrician to trial for the murder of his ex-wife.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/15O5Rcl) Utah Third District Court Judge Robin Reese made the ruling Thursday morning after two days of testimony from the prosecution's witnesses.

The 49-year-old John Brickman Wall is charged with the September 2011 murder of his ex-wife, Uta Von Schwedler, a University of Utah biologist. The medical examiner ruled she died from drowning as well as fatal amount of Xanax, but said this week he wasn't sure if it was a homicide or suicide.

Police called the death suspicious, but didn't arrest and charge Brickman Wall until April of this year.

Wall's attorney says he will plead not guilty.
