Searchers have found the body of a Las Vegas-area teen who disappeared two days ago in a wash flowing high and fast with floodwater.
Seventeen-year-old William Mootz disappeared in the Pittman Wash during a rainstorm Wednesday.
A volunteer searcher found a body Friday morning. A coroner later verified it was Mootz.
Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul says Mootz's body was found in a muddy, marshy area about three-quarters of a mile downstream from a concrete-lined section of the wash where the teen had disappeared.
Dozens of police and volunteers looked for Mootz. Searchers using dogs specially trained to find disaster victims joined the effort Friday.
