Police in Milford, Mass., are searching for a Rhode Island teen who jumped into the waters at a quarry and has not resurfaced.
Police responded to a call for help Sunday afternoon. The Telegram & Gazette reports that a witness said the unidentified 18-year-old youth landed in the water in a strange way and did not resurface.
Police said the party included three young men and two young women.
Milford police called it a "major search and rescue" with divers being lowered at least 30 feet into the water.
Police said they try to keep trespassers away from the privately owned quarry.
