Authorities say an apparent "murder/suicide" note was found in a Pennsylvania home where a couple and their three children were found dead of gunshot wounds.
Police in Berks County went to the Sinking Spring home Saturday afternoon to check on the welfare of the family after a call from a concerned relative.
District Attorney John Adams says 40-year-old Mark Short Sr., 33-year-old Megan Short and their children — 8-year-old Lianna, 5-year-old Mark Jr., and 2-year-old Willow — were found dead. A handgun was found near one of the adults. Police didn't say who they believe was the shooter.
Adams says a handwritten note found in the home "appeared to be a 'murder/suicide' note." Officials said the parents had "domestic issues." Adams called the case "an apparent tragic domestic incident."
