Police in Chattanooga say someone shot a 14-year-old boy, who is now in intensive care at a hospital.

Sgt. Jerri Weary said officers found the boy at a home to which he had run after being shot in the mouth Sunday evening. Because the wound prevented the youth from talking, police aren't certain where the shooting occurred and have little information about the attacker.

The boy ran to a home in the 2200 block of E. 27th St. to seek help.

Tips should be phoned to Chattanooga Police at 423-698-2525.
