Police say they've confiscated 25 dogs and arrested five people in an investigation into dog-fighting in two Detroit suburbs.
The Detroit News and WWJ-AM report raids took place Thursday at homes in Westland and Inkster.
Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw says investigators also seized $25,000 in cash that's believed to be from dog-fighting proceeds, dog-fighting equipment and drugs including crack, cocaine and heroin. He says the dogs are in good condition and getting care.
No charges have been filed.
