Pittsburgh police now say three boys have been burned on a city street, possibly after playing with gasoline.
Officials initially said two boys were injured, a 13-year-old whose clothes caught fire, and a 7-year-old whose face was burned. But they've since learned a third boy was taken to another hospital before he was transferred to the burn unit at UPMC Mercy.
Police say the incident occurred about 9 p.m. on Monday.
Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the 13-year-old boy received second- and third-degree burns all over his body. The 7-year-old boy suffered second-degree burns. The age of the third boy, and his injuries, were not immediately released.
Police were continuing to investigate Tuesday.
