Police have charged a man with murder in a shootout that killed a Philadelphia jewelry store owner during an attempted robbery, along with one of the would-be robbers.
Authorities say 27-year-old Obina Onyiah was one of two men who entered William Glatz Jewelers on October 21 and started the exchange of gunfire.
Sixty-seven-year-old Bill Glatz was killed along with 22-year-old assailant Kevin Turner. Authorities say Turner had escaped from a city prison a little more than a week earlier.
Onyiah was arraigned early Thursday morning on charges including murder, robbery, conspiracy and weapons offenses. He is being held without bail, and it's unclear whether he has an attorney.
