A plea hearing for a former Marine accused of firing shots at the Pentagon, Marine Corps museum and other military buildings has been rescheduled.

Yonathan Melaku (meh-LAH'-koo) of Alexandria was scheduled to enter a plea Monday in a Leesburg courthouse on unrelated larceny charges. A new date for the hearing has not been set.

Melaku was charged in June in federal court with a series of overnight shootings in northern Virginia beginning in October. He was arrested after police spotted him in Arlington National Cemetery after dark with a backpack that included ammonium nitrate, which can be used as a bomb-making material.

That case has been on hold while he's been in jail in Loudoun County, charged in state court with a series of vehicle break-ins.
