State gambling enforcement officials have made their first arrest related to the introduction of table games in Delaware.

Officials say 25-year-old Maurice Thomas, of Philadelphia, was arrested Thursday and charged with cheating in a blackjack game at Delaware Park in Stanton.

Thomas is accused of placing a late bet, also known as capping a bet, on four separate occasions.

Officials say the alleged illegal activity was uncovered as the result of security surveillance and reported to the state Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Thomas was arraigned and released on $1,000 unsecured bond for each charge.
