Pastor: Man accused of killing baby in Ga. shot me 10 days before the child's death

A pastor testified Tuesday that a man accused of fatally shooting a baby in coastal Georgia shot him in the arm 10 days before the child's death.

Wilfredo Calix Flores, pastor of a Hispanic church in Brunswick, said De'Marquise (deh-mahr-KEES') Elkins demanded money from him on March 11 and shot him when he said he didn't have any.

Elkins also is charged with murder in the March 21 killing of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago in Brunswick. That charge has been the main focus of the hearing.

Prosecutors showed Flores a picture of the gun they say was used to shoot the baby. He said it was the same gun that was used to shoot him.

Dont'e (don-TAY) Jackson, a friend of Elkins, testified he was with Elkins when Flores was shot and saw him shoot the pastor.
