The New York area's major transportation agencies have announced plans for handling crowds for February's Super Bowl.
Not among the plans is an all-purpose pass that could be used on all systems. That was discussed initially but was ultimately deemed too complicated.
At a news conference Monday at the Secaucus Junction rail station, New Jersey Transit announced it will offer a special pass for $50 for unlimited travel on trains, buses and light rail from Jan. 27 through Feb. 3.
The game is Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium. It's the first cold-weather Super Bowl played outdoors.
The host committee announced it will offer round-trip bus service from nine locations in New York and New Jersey on game day, for $51.
Organizers are calling this "the first mass transit Super Bowl."
