A New Jersey couple gave chase to the man who allegedly burst into their home Sunday night and demanded cash at gunpoint, The Star-Ledger reported.
The Toms River couple said they gave the masked suspect $60 before he fled, the report said. They caught up with him at a nearby surf shop and he was met there by police, the report said.
Mario J. Ortiz, 39, was charged with home invasion robbery and burglary among other charges.
