A Nevada jury has reached a verdict in the case of a Saudi Arabian air force sergeant accused of raping a 13-year-old boy at a Las Vegas Strip hotel last New Year's Eve.
Court officials say a verdict for 24-year-old Mazen Alotaibi (MAH'-zen ah-loh-TAH'-bee) will be announced at 1:30 p.m. PDT Wednesday.
Alotaibi didn't testify, but his lawyer maintains the boy wanted marijuana or money at the Circus Circus hotel and consented to sex.
State law says the boy was too young to give consent.
Prosecutors say Alotaibi wanted sex and wouldn't take no for an answer.
Defense attorney Don Chairez (shar-EHZ') says Alotaibi was too tired and drunk after staying up all night drinking at a strip club to know if he was doing anything wrong.
