NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say more than 20 people were taken to a hospital after a school bus driver hit the brakes to avoid a car in Manhattan.
The Fire Department says none of the injuries from Friday's accident were considered life-threatening.
Police say that a car apparently cut off the bus but that they did not collide.
Department of Education spokeswoman Marjorie Feinberg initially described the accident as a "fender bender."
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. Friday near Second Avenue and East 63rd Street.
