A southeast Missouri man suspected in the disappearance of his wife will go to trial next month on charges of threatening his wife's sister.
Clay Waller on Thursday waived his right to a pretrial motion hearing on charges that he used the Internet last month to threaten his sister-in-law. Waller allegedly threatened to harm Cheryl Brenneke if anything happened to his three children.
Brenneke has had custody of the triplets since Waller's wife, Jacque, disappeared June 1. She was last seen near his house in Jackson. Waller has been called a suspect in her disappearance but no charges have been filed.
The Southeast Missourian reports that Waller's trial on the threatening charges will begin Oct. 3.
