A Maryland man who pleaded guilty to assault after setting two men on fire more than a year ago now faces a murder charge in the case.
Baltimore County police say 29-year-old Christopher Harrison Jr. set 25-year-old Shawn Scarinzi and 22-year-old David Campbell on fire after a fight in December 2015.
Police say Scarinzi died Monday and Campbell died in January.
Harrison, who is in prison on the assault convictions, was charged last week with first-degree murder in Campbell's death. No charge has been filed in Scarinzi's death.
Authorities say the fight broke out after the men, who were co-workers, ran out of gasoline and had gotten gas.
Police say Harrison threw gasoline on Campbell and set him on fire. Scarinzi, who was standing near Campbell, was engulfed in flames.
