A self-described pimp accused in the deaths of three people in a shooting and crash on the Las Vegas Strip will get new attorneys after his relationship with his former lawyers went sour.
Judge Kathleen Delaney approved Special Public Defender David Schieck's request Monday to cut ties with 27-year-old murder suspect Ammar Harris.
Schieck says Harris had refused to speak with his legal team and wanted to sue them in federal court. Schieck says Harris wanted his trial held soon, while his lawyers wanted more time to prepare his defense.
Harris faces three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in the Feb. 21 shooting death of aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr. The killing touched off a fiery wreck that killed a cab driver and his passenger.
