A judge has chastised a man accused of starting a melee at a southwest Ohio kindergarten graduation this week.

Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Bernie Bouchard (Boo-SHARD') says 33-year-old Raymond Walker showed poor judgment when he should have been setting a good example. The judge set bond at $50,000.

Defense attorney Victor Wayne Sims said Friday there has been a rush to judgment and the case has been blown out of proportion.

The Cincinnati Enquirer (http://cin.ci/1j5SA5c ) reports that Walker turned himself in Thursday afternoon to face the charges of assault and inducing panic.

Police say Walker hit another man while newly graduated kindergarten students were celebrating Monday, triggering a melee that resulted in the lockdown of an elementary school in the Cincinnati suburb of Mount Healthy while police responded.
