Jersey shore town raising money to get last 2 families displaced by Superstorm Sandy back home

A popular Jersey shore town is coming together to help its last two families still displaced by Superstorm Sandy get back home soon.

Belmar has launched "Home By Summer," an effort to raise the $200,000 needed to get the final two families of the 2,000 that were displaced by the storm get back into their houses by June 1.

Krista Sperber's family has moved five times since the Oct. 2012 storm flooded their home; she says they'll crack up if they have to move one more time into someplace that's not their house.

Teresa Keefe lives with relatives 30 minutes from Belmar, but makes an hour-long round trip twice a day to drive her kids to and from their school — the only remaining bit of normalcy in their lives.
