One of five people charged in a deadly house explosion that devastated an Indianapolis neighborhood is set to plead guilty to a conspiracy charge.
Gary Thompson is expected to plead guilty Friday morning to one count of conspiracy to commit arson.
Prosecutors announced Tuesday that the 45-year-old man had reached a plea agreement sentencing him to 30 years in prison with 10 years suspended.
Thompson faced a September trial on two counts of murder and other charges in the November 2012 natural gas explosion that killed two next-door neighbors.
Prosecutors say five people were involved in a plot to destroy the house to claim insurance money.
Two others have been convicted, a third reached a plea deal and another faces a November trial.
